Nobex let me know that they have added ESPN radio from across the US into their streaming catalog. This lets you get local sports in many cities along with the National ESPN sports stream. I always thought this FREE app was cool for having scrolling lyrics while the music is playing and the ability to buy songs that you hear on the radio.

Latest news in Nobex Radio Companion, the software now supports ESPN radio as well as some other local sports stations. Nobex was one of the first to start streaming on the BlackBerry, but their software is absolutely free of charge and the simplicity of the platform is incredible!

We got word today that Nobex has added a lineup of ESPN stations to it's service. This is great news for sports fans, as you'll now be able to listen to feeds from a number of larger markets like Boston, Cleveland, Philadelphia and St. Louis. There is also a feed for the national ESPN stream. This is a new feature that may set Nobex apart from the "music only" applications like Slacker and Pandora.

If you are a fan of listening to radio on your Berry this is a bit of good news. Nobex Radio Companion has added 150 Canadian radio stations to their playlist which now totals at 2,700 stations.

Good news for Canadian CrackBerries today... you can now listen to 150 Canadian radio stations on your BlackBerry with the popular Nobex Radio Companion app! That's in addition to the 700+ US radio stations already available. And as always, As always, Nobex Radio Companion lets you see the recent playlist of over 2,700 radio stations.

Those great developers over at Nobex just informed me that the famous Nobex Radio Companion is now available in Canada. I know all you Canadians are thinking, it’s about time. Now Canadians can listen to 150 native radio stations as well as 700 US radio stations.

... During the BBDC Keynote Today, Rick Segal of the BlackBerry Partners Fund announced that they had added a third Category to the BlackBerry Developer Challenge: The People’s Choice Award. The BlackBerry Partners Fund chose the People’s Choice winner based upon the winner of the BlackBerry Cool 15, Nobex’s Radio Companion for BlackBerry. I’m thrilled that we played a (small) part in helping Nobex receive a $150,000 debenture. Congrats, Nobex, you earned it!...
